Armor All wanted to introduce their Repellency product line and benefits in a series of static and animated digital assets. Their message was that their new Extreme Shield + Ceramic technology is an easier way to protect the car’s appearance. I came up with three different looks for the ads.

 

Direction A - Chosen Direction

This direction takes visual cues from the packaging—such as the ceramic texture and product colors—and combines that with a graphic pattern that represents water and dirt particles to really speak to the technology behind the product line.

 

Direction B

This direction takes on a sleek and polished approach with beautiful car shots and dramatic lighting. It really speaks to car enthusiasts who seek the best technology to make their cars look good.

 

Direction C

This direction blends lifestyle imagery and the Armor All brand color gradient together to make elements in the foreground stand out. The contrasting gray embodies the ceramic texture bringing in the technology to balance out the lifestyle imagery.

 

Social Application

Here is how the designs were applied on different social media platforms. Facebook’s carousel layout provided a unique opportunity to explore and push the design - one, it could just be a sequence of images or two, it could be a long image spanning across several windows to encourage the user to see what’s next.
